The ExperienceThe Vajont Dam - still considered an engineering masterpiece today - is sadly known for the tragic event known as the "Vajont disaster". Today, a visit to the dam, a concrete wall over 260 meters high, offers breathtaking scenery; a visit to these places is a way not to forget and learn about the facts and testimonies that this place preserves.
At the end of the visit you can instead relax on a real farm, surrounded by 17 hectares cultivated with cereals, fodder crops, vineyards, organic and traditional orchards, vegetables in greenhouses and in open fields. Here, tasty cured meats, fragrant cheeses, fragrant soups, poultry from the courtyards, vegetables from the garden, genuine sweets, rustic bread, herb focaccia, polenta and wines await you... all dishes with ingredients grown directly on the farm and packaged according to traditional Friulian recipes.
Day 1 - Erto, Casso and Vajont dam
Guided tour of the Vajont Dam lasting approximately 50 minutes. Continue to Longarone, free lunch and visit to the cemetery of the victims of the Vajont landslide.
Afternoon departure for Vivaro (40 km), arrival at the farmhouse, welcome toast and check in in Farm.
Dinner with first course, main course, side dishes and dessert.
Day 2 - Experiences in the Farm
Rich breakfast buffet. Walk and visit to the farm. Farm experience with horses and donkeys: discovering ancient arts and crafts, ancient traditions, the relationship with farm animals, from breeding to horse riding, becoming familiar with these unique animals. Experience lasting a total of 1 hour.
At the end of the visit, there is the possibility of a 30-minute carriage ride.
Excellent lunch at the farm and departure for the next destination.
