Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour

On this day, we will go on Tbilisi City Tour, which takes us on a captivating journey through the heart of Georgia's vibrant capital. As we set off, we'll visit the iconic Narikala Fortress, offering breathtaking views of Tbilisi's landscape. We will pass by the renowned sulphur baths at Abanotubani, the very source of Tbilisi's founding and a testament to its cultural heritage. The tour lets us explore the enchanting Old Town, a maze of cobblestone streets filled with charming houses and hidden courtyards, where stories of centuries past come to life. In the Old Town, we will visit Laliashvilebi’s Wine Cellar, which offers an authentic local wine tasting experience. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Chardakhi – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi

Our first destination of the day is located just a short drive from Tbilisi. Mtskheta offers a glimpse into the country's glorious past. Our journey will lead us to the stunning Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a masterpiece of medieval architecture and a revered religious symbol, where, according to a legend, Christ's robe is buried. Next, we will stop by Nebi Winery in Chardakhi, where we will savour local wine made by our host family. Our next stop is the captivating Uplistsikhe Cave Town-Fortress – an ancient rock-hewn settlement. Uplistsikhe holds great historical importance in Georgian history, spanning nearly 3000 years. At the end of the day, we drive to one of the oldest cities in Europe – Kutaisi. Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 4: Kutaisi – Mestia

Located just outside of Kutaisi, Gelati Monastery is our first destination. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the country’s most important cultural landmarks. The monastery's architecture is also remarkable, featuring intricate stone carvings, frescoes, and mosaics that showcase the artistic achievements of the Georgian Golden Age. Then, we embark on a drive to the North to explore the Upper Svaneti region – another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This journey leads us to the remarkable Enguri Dam, from where the majestic Greater Caucasus appears before us. Driving through the scenic mountains, we make several stops to fully immerse ourselves in their splendour. We will then reach the town of Mestia located in the Upper Svaneti region. Preserved by its long-lasting geographical isolation, this landscape is an outstanding example of mountain scenery with its medieval villages and tower houses dating back to the 9th century. Svan people, who are known for their distinctive language and culture, built these towers as a defence mechanism against invading armies. Overnight in Mestia

Day 5: Mestia – Ushguli – Mestia

Spending one night in Upper Svaneti is far from being sufficient. That’s why we will not be leaving the region just yet. We will venture to Ushguli, a community of five villages. It is considered to be the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe, with its altitude reaching 2200 meters above sea level. Compared to somewhat more developed town of Mestia, Ushguli is even harder to access, which makes it so that it has preserved many of the village’s medieval characteristics, including more than 200 of the most well-preserved medieval Svan towers. Incredibly, many of them are still occupied by families today. We will visit Ushguli Ethnographic Museum located in a 12th-century building that once housed both people and livestock in the winter months, all huddled together under one crowded roof. We will be shown the ingenious tools used by locals over the centuries. We will spend the day enjoying the stunning panoramic views as the village is nestled amidst the breathtakingly beautiful mountain peaks of the Caucasus range. Overnight in Mestia

Day 6: Mestia – Martvili Canyon – Kutaisi

In the morning, we leave Mestia and return to Kutaisi. On our way to the city, we will make a stop in Martvili, where we will set out on an enthralling expedition to Martvili Canyon. Here, we will navigate local wonders by boats, revealing nature's sculpted rock formations and pristine emerald waters. The day will be long, however, once we get to the enchanting city of Kutaisi, our guests can wander through its lively streets, captivated by the warm hospitality of its people. A quick stroll in the centre of Kutaisi will reveal its rich heritage as it will take you to see sites like the Colchis Fountain and the White Bridge. With its welcoming spirit and fascinating landmarks, Kutaisi promises an authentic Georgian experience that will leave a lasting impression. Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 7: Kutaisi – Prometheus Cave – Gori – Tbilisi

Before leaving Kutaisi, we will discover the wonder of Prometheus Cave. This mesmerizing natural monument will let us sail through its illuminated passages on boats, marveling at stalactites, stalagmites, and the underground waterfalls that will leave us in awe. Afterwards, our journey will take us to Gori, where we will visit the Joseph Stalin Museum. The museum doesn’t only retain its Soviet-era characteristics but also showcases a small wooden hut, in which Stalin was born and spent his childhood years. At the end of the day, we will find ourselves back in the capital – Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 8: Tbilisi – Telavi – Tsinandali – Kvareli – Sighnaghi – Tbilisi

We leave Tbilisi in the morning, as our journey takes us to the Kakheti region. The local winemaking method uses Kvevri, a unique ancient vessel, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. We will start the day exploring the historic Telavi bazaar, where we will immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of a traditional Georgian market and sample some of the locally produced artisanal goods. Next, we will make a stop in Tsinandali. We explore the main local attraction – the manor house museum dedicated to a prominent Georgian aristocrat, poet, and military figure Alexander Chavchavadze, who lived in the early 19th century. At this historic residence, we will have a chance to participate in wine-tasting. Since Kakheti is considered to be “the cradle of wine”, we will stop by Kvareli to explore its scenic vineyards and indulge in wine tastings. We will visit the unique wine cellar known as Kvareli Wine Cave. The cave is carved into the Caucasus rock massif and its temperature ranges from 12-16 ° C, which creates an ideal environment for wine storage and aging. Then, we will explore Sighnaghi, a picturesque town overlooking the stunning Alazani Valley. Known as the "City of Love", Sighnaghi is famous for its charming cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture. After our Kakheti adventure, we drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi
